Love jazz? Love history? To celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month 2017 this April, Smithsonian Jazz at the National Museum of American History presents rarely-seen jazz objects, instruments, and archives from our collections every Tuesday. Come explore jazz history every Tuesday in April from 1-3 p.m. in the Wallace H. Coulter Performance Plaza at the museum.
On Tuesday, April 4, we will celebrate the theme for Jazz Appreciation Month 2017, “Women in Jazz,” with artifacts, photographs, sheet music, and more from our collections that celebrate the important contributions women have made to jazz throughout its history.
This program is free to attend, no tickets required.
