VINYL SPEED ADJUST:
Their faultless back catalogue boasts a dominance of vinyl releases on the likes of Visionquest, Pressure Traxx, Jesus Loved You Drumma, NG Trax and Bodyparts, and continues to draw support from industry genii such as Ricardo Villalobos, Rhadoo,Pedro, Raresh [a:rpia:r], Barac, Luciano, Ryan Crosson and Valentino Kanzyani, to name but a few.
Having both experienced an eclectic musical upbringing, the pair first met in 2009 and soon realized that they also shared comparable influences from Hip Hop to Breakbeat and Dubstep. They originally found their way into electronic music through listening to online radio, before the proliferation of exceptional music emanating from the Romanian underground scene over the past decade, soon lured the duo out to the city’s growing array of underground parties; most notably the legendary venue Studio Martin, where Eddy and Levii further refined their taste for the acute underground Romanian sound.
Through their consummate work ethic and refreshing productions, the duo has unsurprisingly caught the ear of some of the industry’s leading and most illustrious figures, and with every one of their releases fast becoming a commodity for some of the finest A&R tastemakers on the circuit, Vinyl Speed Adjust are unquestionably two of Romania’s most inventive and promising talents.
ADAM MARSHALL:
It has become de rigeur to talk about boundary-hopping artists, but in Marshall’s case, he’s earned his reputation as a trailblazer. Born and raised in Toronto, and now based in Berlin, he’s been active as a producer, DJ and label head for some 10 years now.
But, at a point in his career where other musicians find themselves slowing down and settling into their comfort zone, Marshall seems refreshingly unencumbered by his past achievements—and equally unconstrained by the limits of the scene around him. Marshall has long been a top-notch producer, but the past few years have seen his work getting more inspired, more experimental and more confident in its own path.
