Each year, hundreds of thousands of students travel from to nation’s capital where they receive a rich educational experience and deepen their knowledge of American history, democracy, culture and for many, have a travel experience.
But there are many students across the country and right here in Washington, D.C. who have never visited a museum or national park due to a lack of resources and funding.
The American Experience Foundation (AEF) addresses this need and creates unique opportunities for youth who are unable to travel due to lack of resources and economic hardship.
