Katie Macyshyn is from Toms River, NJ. In 2013, she received her BFA, with a focus in performance art, from the Corcoran College of Art + Design. Macyshyn’s art uses high camp to make the profane spiritual and vice versa. She has been included in various exhibitions including the (e)merge Art Fair at the Capitol Skyline Hotel, Soapbox series at Hillyer Arts Space, and NEXT at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC. Macyshyn returns from ULTRACULTURAL OTHERS: Urban Mystery Skool for Radical Creatives, in NY, NY in February. She currently lives and works in Baltimore, MD.
Rebekah Pineda received her Master’s in Arts Management at American University, exploring the power and potential of arts in underserved communities. In conjunction she was a Development Fellow at Sitar Arts Center, a multi-disciplinary arts organization, serving children from low-income households in DC. An artist at heart, Rebekah received a BA in Art History and Fine Arts. Since moving to DC, she has explored the arts and culture scene working with a range of cultural organizations. Currently she is working for Hamiltonian Artists, helping build a dynamic community of innovative artists and effective visual art leaders by providing professional development opportunities.
