SMD aka “Sneaker Man Dan” played an instrumental role in the success of DMV’s very own, Wale. Now he’s giving back by creating a platform for local artists to shine.
UP is DC’s latest stage for emerging artists to showcase their talent in front of the city’s biggest creatives, writers and influencers. This a monthly event that is held in the form of a competition in which the crowd decides the winner. Winners receive a curated prize pack that will allow them to continue moving their career UPward.
This month’s prize pack includes:
4 hours of studio time at Lions Den Studios
A write up and professional shoot by Polly Irungu, The PI Media Group
A shopping spree at Ubiq Georgetown
Production from an “EBM” producer
