Love jazz? Love history? To celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month 2017 this April, Smithsonian Jazz at the National Museum of American History presents rarely-seen jazz objects, instruments, and archives from our collections every Tuesday. Come explore jazz history every Tuesday in April from 1-3 p.m. in the Wallace H. Coulter Performance Plaza at the museum.
On Tuesday, April 11, we will be celebrating the important role Latin Jazz has played in the history of this music form with artifacts, photographs, sheet music, and more from our collections. In addition, there will be a special Hands-On section for percussionists of all ages to practice their drumming skills on a range of drums.
This program is free to attend, no tickets required.
