The Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival is a critical fundraising event for the Living Classrooms Foundation. It is an annual celebration of the fundamentally important role that community plays in lifting up those among us who are in greatest need.
With the support of the Department of Public Works (DPW) and the Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE), the 2016 Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival became the first Zero Waste music festival in the District! We are very proud of this distinction, and in order to maintain status as a Zero Waste festival in 2017, we are asking guests to only bring reusable water bottles and food containers onto the island. Each attendee will be provided with a reusable Zero Waste cup to use at vendors and water stations!
Join us on May 13, 2017 on the Anacostia River in DC for the 8th Annual Kingman Island Bluegrass and Folk Festival! Kids under 13 are FREE. Tickets are available now: missiontix.com/kingmanisland
