I am excited to announce the FIRST-EVER Pop-Up Garnish Film Festival at Songbyrd Music House & Cafe!
After the tremendous support I received at my screening event last month in conjunction with The Creative Edge Collaborative, I’m taking my documentary series “Garnish” on the road, and screening it in spectacular venues. There is no shortage of film-centered events in the D.C. area. Since “Garnish” is all about community, I want to take the opportunity to highlight and connect local filmmakers by showcasing their work,.
It is absolutely FREE to attend and/or submit a work for consideration! (Filmmakers/artists use this form http://bitly.com/garnishff to submit a piece)
The screening will happen in the upstairs restaurant area. If attendance is over-capacity, it will be moved downstairs. Please do not submit any works with graphic violence, nudity or very gross language (if in doubt I will consult with Songbyrd staff).
Because of the limited time, all the entries will be reviewed for quality. Submitting a work does not guarantee that it will be shown at the event, but may be considered for forthcoming screenings.
