February is traditionally jazz month at Classic Album Sundays so we decided to feature one of our favourite albums John Coltrane ‘A Love Supreme’.
Coltrane’s masterpiece was released in January 1965 on Impulse! Records. The album was a hit at the time and is still viewed as not only one of the greatest jazz albums ever made, but one of the greatest albums ever made.
The album is made up of only four tracks largely due to Coltrane, unlike most jazz improvisers often playing in clubs on his own for album length performances. Solos would often range for over an hour with Elvin Jones recalling that Coltrane once soloed for three hours straight!
Join us for one of our listening sessions around the world to hear this incredible recording as never before on one of our world class audiophile sound systems. Listening guidelines apply.
